Your first full event pays no license.
When you create the account you get 60 days with everything on, EVA included, to run a real event. At the close you receive the analysis and a results session; the end date is announced right there, never as a surprise. After that, your account moves to the Data floor: you keep capturing at no cost and decide whether to subscribe. The trial's analysis stays in your account, read-only, forever.
The license is what's free; operations (build-out, on-site badging, production) are quoted separately.
